We understand that sometimes a purchase may not meet your expectations. This policy outlines the conditions and procedures for returns and refunds.
1. THE “NO RETURN, NO REFUND” MANDATORY PRINCIPLE
At DOONEY & BOURKE MEXICANA S DE RL DE CV, we maintain a strict policy regarding the processing of refunds. Under no circumstances do we offer “Refund Only” (only refunding money without the physical return of the item) for any products purchased on our website.
To be eligible for a refund, the physical item must be successfully returned to our designated warehouse in Mexico, inspected, and approved by our quality control team. We do not compensate for lost, “not as described,” or “changed mind” claims without the actual return of the merchandise. By completing a purchase on our site, you acknowledge and agree to this mandatory requirement.
2. RETURN WINDOW
You have 30 calendar days from the date you received your item to initiate a return request. If 30 days have gone by since your delivery date, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
3. ELIGIBILITY FOR RETURNS
To ensure your return is accepted, the item must meet the following criteria:
- The item must be in the same condition that you received it (unused, unwashed, and unworn).
- The item must be in its original packaging with all original tags, dust bags, authenticity cards, and protective plastics intact.
- The item must not be a “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” item (see Section 7).
- You must provide the receipt or proof of purchase.
4. RETURN PROCESS
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Email our support team at mistywhisper@dooneybourkeshop.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
- Authorization: Once your request is reviewed, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and provide the specific return shipping address.
- Shipping: Pack the item securely. You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
- Tracking: We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
5. INSPECTION AND REFUND APPROVAL
Once your return is received and inspected:
- We will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
- We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund based on the condition of the item.
- Approved Refunds: If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days.
- Rejected Returns: If the item is found to be used, damaged, or missing parts, the refund will be denied, and the item will be sent back to you at your expense.
6. SHIPPING COSTS
- Initial Shipping: Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.
- Exchanges: If the return is due to a manufacturing defect or shipping error on our part, we will cover the return shipping costs. In all other cases (e.g., “I don’t like the color,” “I ordered the wrong size”), the customer bears the cost.
7. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
The following items cannot be returned or refunded:
- Gift cards.
- Items purchased during “Clearance,” “Flash Sales,” or marked as “Final Sale.”
- Personalized or monogrammed products.
- Items damaged through customer misuse or neglect.
8. DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS
If you receive a defective or damaged item, you must contact us at mistywhisper@dooneybourkeshop.com within 48 hours of delivery. You will be required to provide clear photographic or video evidence of the damage.
Even in the case of damaged goods, the item must be returned to us before a replacement or refund is issued. We do not offer partial refunds or “keep the item and get a refund” solutions for damaged goods.
9. EXCHANGES
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same model, please email us. The same “Physical Return Required” rule applies to all exchanges.
10. LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS
If you haven’t received a refund yet:
- First, check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
- Contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

11. CANCELLATION POLICY
Orders can only be cancelled within 12 hours of placement. Once an order has entered the shipping process, it cannot be cancelled. You must wait to receive the item and then follow the standard return procedure (which requires returning the item at your expense).
